Angry Birds has probably been one of the most successful iPhone games in the short life of the App Store.
It’s been ported over to consoles, the PSP minis, the Mac App Store, the iPad… the possibilites are endless. Plus, they’ve got those new plush toys out and about (admittedly, I want to buy some for some odd reason).
And now, Mattel is bringing Angry Birds from the virtual life into reality via board game, which will be announced sometime during CES 2011 (Consumer Electronics Show).
According to Mashable, the game will be played as follows:
Players will draw cards that show either brick structures or pigs — all of which are recreated as plastic figures — that tell the player where to direct a plastic angry bird with a slingshot.
The board game will go on sale for $14.99 some time in May, so be sure to be on the look out for Angry Birds in a store near you.
