Surprise, surprise. Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the classic turn-based strategy game, has been released for the iPad and iPhone. Romance of the Three Kingdoms was released way back on the Amiga long before I was born, but the storyline and premise is quite interesting.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms is based on the time period from 2nd century to 3rd century A.D. when China was in a tumultuous civil war between states. The Han Dynasty was coming to its end and the Three Kingdoms were beginning to rise in China, but between that time, war struck the countryside.
In Romance of the Three Kingdoms, you chose one side and play to try and unite all of China. The iPad and iPhone versions includes up to 255 different units, each with its own abilities, and it also offers the ability to create your own officers and army.
