Seems like Activision went ninja and sneaked in yet another iPhone game into the App Store. But before any of you Call of Duty fanboys start getting riled up, read this before jumping on any conclusions.
Call of Duty World at War Zombies II is basically the Shi No Numa, or Zombie Swamp, map. For owners of the original Call of Duty World at War Zombies, you get the same map along with all its glory for $4.99 as an in-app purchase instead of buying the second “installation” into the series.
While I’m not sure why Activision made such a move, it’ll be curious to see how many people buy the game, then realize they could have purchased it for $4.99.
If you haven’t purchased any of them yet, I would say go with the first one for now. The second one doesn’t seem to have any DLC along with only one map, while the first one has DLC with two additional maps (please note each additional map costs $4.99). So if you’ve purchased the first one, again, you can buy the same thing through DLC on Call of Duty World at War Zombies.
Thanks for reading.
