The App Store Now on Facebook

Apple has expanded their App Store to Facebook, making a fan page along with a “search and share” feature.  This will allow you to search for apps within Facebook, share the link with your friends, and buy the app via iTunes or the Internet.  It’s a handy-dandy feature that should reach out to more than the usual iTunes users, and it’s definitely a move that could potentially increase the number of people using iTunes.

The searching within Facebook works considerably faster than the one in iTunes, and for those looking for quick links, this is definitely a good place to start.  The fan page also states that it will post exclusive offers, ability to share with your friends, hot tips, and more.

It’s definitely a step forward for the App Store; we just don’t know how big it is just yet.

About Daniel

I have been an iPhone game addict ever since the NES emulator came out on the 1.1.4 iPhone 2G. After 2.0 and the App Store came out, my iPhone homescreen has never been the same. Other than writing reviews for App Store games, I play soccer/football, American football, volleyball, and golf. I love going to the beach and fishing on the pier. Some games not available on iPhone/iPod Touch that I truly love are the Call of Duty series, Guitar Hero III, Madden NFL 09, and PGR: Gotham Racing.
