Contests seem to be the name of the game during this era of the App Store, as Gameloft’s NFL Twitter contest has just ended and 2012 Zombies vs. Aliens has just started up. But the stakes weren’t all that high in 2012 Zombies vs. Aliens, and the prizes for Gameloft’s contest were good, but nothing compared to what I’m about to present to you here.
Now please note this contest isn’t run by us, but by 99Games. I’m just here to spread the word, get the news out, etc. etc. And of course, you’ll have to buy Chess Elite before even entering the contest, a cost that should run around $3.99. Either way, you are in the runnings for a $2,000 piece of art.
It’s not an easy task though, as an Elo rating of 2100 would take around 80 wins and 0 losses. Along with that, the 2500 Elo Rating would (I’m guessing) take around 120 wins and 0 losses to achieve. Either way, your prize would be a Macbook Pro 2.26 Ghz, a prize most certainly worth around $2,000.
Here’s the full list of prizes:
- A MacBook Pro 13-inch 2.26GHz, if you are the first player to achieve 2,500 Elo
- iPod touch 32GB, if you are one of the first 2 players to achieve 2,400 Elo
- iPod touch 16GB, if you are one of the first 3 players to achieve 2,300 Elo
- iPod Nano 8GB, if you are the first player to achieve 2,200 Elo
- iPod Shuffle 2GB, if you are the first player to achieve 2,100 Elo
Good luck to you all, and may the best man win!
