Now we all know Paper Toss from Backflip Studios, the game that recorded over 13.5 million downloads. But after the game was updated with obnoxious ads, I deleted that game and never downloaded it again. But hope shines yet again with the release of Table Golf, a game similar to Paper Toss but with a golf ball.
As I’ve never actually worked in a cubicle with other coworkers, Table Golf is a new concept for me, and probably for many other people. The goal of the game is simple though; swipe your finger on the screen and try to get the golf ball into the “hole”. Like Paper Toss, there is a wind that effects the movement of the ball, making it more competitive.
Table Golf also includes OpenFeint leaderboards for you to keep track of your score and other people’s scores. While there doesn’t seem to be any achievements, the basics of the game seem to work surprisingly well. People who are looking for another Paper Toss, but don’t feel like paying $0.99, then Table Golf should be a nice alternative. And best of all, it’s free.
