You know when a game is developed by Imangi Studios and Critical Thought Games that it has to be good. Imangi Studios, although not exactly original, released a solid line-drawing game known as Harbor Master while Critical Thought Games have released critically acclaimed games including geoDefense and geoDefense Swarm.
Their new game is codenamed geoSpark, and from the video, it seems like the gameplay will be very similar to Aqua Globs. The line-drawing genre has become more and more saturated, with developers coming up with crazy idea after crazy idea. While geoSpark seems to be a little different, it’s definitely not an original title.
Original or not, it’s definitely good to see two noteworthy indie developers collaborating on an all new title. With the particle effects created by Critical Thought Games along with the polish from Imangi Studios, I can totally feel that this game will be good.
We should have more news once they are available, but check out the gameplay video (see below) to get a taste for how the game will look and play. I’m going to estimate a $0.99 – $2.99 introductory price whenever it is released, and it looks as if the game will be ready by early-mid November.
