Normally, a game like iShoot wouldn’t do very well, selling only a few hundred copies then become buried by tons and tons of other garbage we know as “crapps”. Of course, a lite version always helps the customer to decide whether to buy the game or not, and it really showed its significance once people started downloading iShoot Lite and purchasing the full version for $1.99 – $2.99.
If you don’t know who the developer is, he’s quite a character. He quit his day job at Sun Microsystems to work full time on iPhone games, and for the past eight months he’s been working on this secret title. It’s been reported that Ethan Nicolas raked in a stunning $800,000 in five months, a sum of money that’s larger than the amount the president receives.
We can only hope that this first person shooter is another success for Ethan, and this looks to be coming out quite nicely. Sure, the graphics aren’t as good as I would like them to be, but please note that the game is still in development.
We’ll have more on this story once we receive more details, but for now, watch the developer’s Twitter feed for future updates on this mysterious first person shooter.
