Following the big release Friday last week (a record 453 games approved that day), Apple doesn’t seem to be letting down on these releases. Three huge releases were released today almost simultaneously including the release of Horror Racing from Chillingo this afternoon.
First off is Lumines: Touch Fusion, a game we reported to be coming to the iPhone in August. While we have yet to play the game, there is a lite version to try, and the full version is available for only $2.99. If you’re a fan of the PSP version at all, Lumines for the iPhone and iPod Touch seems to be the way to go.
Following closely behind is Sliding Heroes from Square Enix. Square Enix has been known to port some pretty disappointing releases on the iPhone (although I enjoyed Vanguard Storm), and Sliding Heroes seems to be a game that just ultimately fails due to game design. I’m not sure if people will like the game or not, but there is a lite version to try. The full version is available for $4.99.
And the grand-daddy of them all, Baseball Superstars 2010. I actually had a chance to play a preview build of the game, and I found the user interface to be greatly improved along with some visual improvements and gameplay enhancements. While it isn’t a huge step forward, the improvements are more than welcome. The full version is available for $5.99.
