Notable Sales: Resident Evil, Crash Kart, And More

Sales are becoming more and more common in the App Store, and this flood of sales is nothing new to an App Store gamer.  Here are a list of some notable sales going on, and each one is definitely worth the sale price.  Some companies are putting on some big summer sales also, so don’t miss out on those!

Resident Evil 4:  This has to be one of the more complete TPS in the App Store along with Terminator Salvation from Gameloft, and we gave this game a hearty buy recommendation.  The previous price was $7.99, and it has dropped significantly to $2.99.

KENKEN:  KENKEN from Capcom is yet another quality game that’s polished and well designed.  It’s the original, and while I have yet to try it, user feedback seems to be overall positive.  Price has been reduced for a limited time for $0.99.  There is also a lite version to try out.

Mega Man II:  Mega Man for the iPhone suffered from control problems in the beginning, but after an update, the controls were smoothed out and now work considerably well.  The game is on sale for $2.99, and there is also a lite version to try out.

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D:  One of the first iPhone games to appear on the App Store, it was originally released for $9.99, then dropped to $5.99 for a significantly long amount of time.  It seems like the developer is feeling pressure on sales from Konami’s Krazy Kart Racers, and the price is now $2.99.

Silent Hill:  Originally released for $7.99, this first person horror game is probably one of the scariest games in the App Store.  It has withstood the test of time, but it has finally dropped quite a lot to the low price point of $0.99.  Anyone looking for a scary game will find Silent Hill to be right up their alley.

EA Mobile Labor Day Sale:  Sim City and Trivial Pursuit have dropped to $2.99, and Clue and Yahtzee have dropped to $1.99.  From the sale list I suggest you get Clue and/or Trivial Pursuit as both are very solid games that provide some good fun.

Moon Drop:  MOON DROP IS FREE TODAY AND TODAY ONLY.  Nimblebit is known for their simple and casual games, and Moon Drop seems to be one of my more favorite ones.  While I did enjoy Sky Burger and Scoops, Moon Drops offers something no other game does, and you’re absolutely out of your mind if you don’t grab it for free.

If you are on a budget and cannot buy all the games mentioned, I suggest you buy Resident Evil 4, Moon Drop, Crash Kart, and Trivial Pursuit.  The others have not really captured my attention as much as I would have liked.

About Daniel

I have been an iPhone game addict ever since the NES emulator came out on the 1.1.4 iPhone 2G. After 2.0 and the App Store came out, my iPhone homescreen has never been the same. Other than writing reviews for App Store games, I play soccer/football, American football, volleyball, and golf. I love going to the beach and fishing on the pier. Some games not available on iPhone/iPod Touch that I truly love are the Call of Duty series, Guitar Hero III, Madden NFL 09, and PGR: Gotham Racing.
