Duke Nukem 3D Comes to iPhone

MachineWorks Northwest and 3D Realms have released Duke Nukem 3D into the wild, saying to offer some improved graphics and the original storyline.  Of course, there have been some words removed here and there, but the game should be pretty similar to what you remember.

Now what you don’t remember and shouldn’t remember are bad controls.  Early buyers seems to have had trouble with the controls, and the developers have announced that they will make an update to improve the controls.  For now, I think you should hold off until they update the game, or buy it on their one day sale before the price goes up.

All in all, Duke Nukem 3D seems like a disappointing release, and all we can hope is that 3D Realms improve the controls.  If you want to buy the game for cheaper and wait for an update, then I suggest that you do.  Otherwise, just wait for an update before buying the game unless your a wicked control wizard.

The price is $2.99, and the game was developed by 3D Realms and MachineWorks Northwest.  The price is $2.99 only for 24 hours, so get it while it’s cheap.

About Daniel

I have been an iPhone game addict ever since the NES emulator came out on the 1.1.4 iPhone 2G. After 2.0 and the App Store came out, my iPhone homescreen has never been the same. Other than writing reviews for App Store games, I play soccer/football, American football, volleyball, and golf. I love going to the beach and fishing on the pier. Some games not available on iPhone/iPod Touch that I truly love are the Call of Duty series, Guitar Hero III, Madden NFL 09, and PGR: Gotham Racing.
