Over at Toucharcade, there have been some exclusive screenshots of the upcoming Gangstar by Gameloft. It is said to be an open-ended crime sandbox game with gorgeous 3D graphics. Last week, there was a mysterious website with thousands of guesses on what it was. Some claimed it to be a trailer for an upcoming text based MMO, but some guessed correctly when they said it was a trailer for Gameloft’s Gangstar.
Players will be engaged in an L.A. style gang style with missions to either complete or ignore. The system used in this game will be a “rags to riches” type of system where you accrue wealth and power over time.
Driving controls can be chosen from either accelerometer or touch controls, and gun fights are controlled through a touch auto-aim system. Gangstar also comes with several “radio stations” to chose from or the ability to chose from your own iPod music. The game is slated for an “end of the summer” release. Meanwhile, there has been a gameplay video from German site iFUN.de showing off the game’s graphics and, of course, gameplay.
