Big Top 10 Is In My Top 10

After playing around with Big Top 10, I think I can safely say this is a wonderful game.  Bight Games has just recently released this for $0.99, and it is another one of those “Flight Control” type of games.  Simple, yet amazingly addictive.  When I first started playing, the intensity felt was that felt when the clock is ticking down in Bejeweled 2.  Yet in this game, the intensity was felt from the beginning to the end.

The game can be described as a simple math game.  Connect the numbers to make the sum of the numbers 10.  There are “power-ups” like bombs, multipliers, and time freezers.  The more numbers included when making 10, the more points you receive.  The point of the game, of course, is to beat your highscore.  Although the game only has local highscores in its current version, it is still a blast.  Who knew playing with numbers was so much fun?

Artwork for this game are top-notch.  Whoever did the artwork for this game, I commend them.  Menu designs, in-game graphics, highscores, and almost everything follows the circus theme applied to this game, and it looks great.  One thing that I would recommend to the developers though is redesigning the menu buttons.  Not exactly redesigning, but more towards the lines of highlight the whole button when it is touched.  Other than that, the artwork is incredibly done to look absolutely gorgeous.

Overall, this game provided for some nice, pick-up-and-play fun.  Another simple game that appeals to hardcore and casual gamers alike.  There are achievements and versus mode to add to the fun (although versus mode seemed to disconnect on me).  Again, if you want a simple, addictive game, this should be on your top list.  Bight Games has done an incredible job with this game and expect to see more in the near future.  Are you skilled enough to be in the Big Top 10?

About Daniel

I have been an iPhone game addict ever since the NES emulator came out on the 1.1.4 iPhone 2G. After 2.0 and the App Store came out, my iPhone homescreen has never been the same. Other than writing reviews for App Store games, I play soccer/football, American football, volleyball, and golf. I love going to the beach and fishing on the pier. Some games not available on iPhone/iPod Touch that I truly love are the Call of Duty series, Guitar Hero III, Madden NFL 09, and PGR: Gotham Racing.
